The finishing work. Soft cut control joints, flush cuts hard against a wall, kerb cutting, and trench work where a standard saw will not fit.
Control joints, cut on time
Concrete shrinks as it cures, and it will crack. Control joints decide where. Cut them in the right place at the right time and the slab cracks along a line nobody notices.
Soft cutting, also called early entry, goes in while the slab is still green, usually within hours of the pour. That is what stops random cracking before it starts. Timing matters, so call ahead of the pour rather than after it and we will book you in around the concreter.
Cuts a standard saw will not make
Flush cutting
Cutting hard up against a wall, kerb or existing structure, so there is no uncut stub left behind to break out by hand.
Kerb cutting
Clean sections through kerb and channel for new driveway crossovers and service entries.
Trench cutting
Parallel cuts through a slab to open a service trench, cut to width and depth so the spoil breaks out cleanly.
Safety grooving
Grooved surfaces on ramps and inclines where a smooth finish becomes a slip risk once it is wet.
Unfortunately we cannot help with demolition, spoil removal, GPR scanning or service locating. We will happily cut to a locator's marks.
We leave the site clean
Wet cutting makes slurry. Our truck runs a slurry control system that captures it at the cut instead of letting it run across the floor, into a drain, or onto whatever is downhill.
On an occupied building or a finished driveway, that is usually the part that matters most.
