Concrete sawing

Concrete sawing

Road and floor sawing, hand and ring sawing, and soft cut joints. Straight cuts through driveways, slabs, paths and service trenches.

Methods

The right saw for the cut

Which saw we bring depends on how thick the concrete is, how fresh it is, and how much room there is to work in.

Saw cut joints across a finished concrete driveway

Road & Floor Sawing

Walk-behind saw for horizontal cuts. Driveways, paths, car parks, roads and slab-on-ground. Most jobs start here.

Soft cut joint placed in a green concrete slab

Soft Cut

Early-entry joints cut while the slab is still green, usually within hours of the pour, to control where it cracks.

Hand cut detail work at the edge of a concrete slab

Hand & Ring Sawing

Hand-held cutting where a floor saw cannot reach. Tight corners, finishing cuts and confined spaces.

Typical jobs

Where sawing earns its keep

  • Driveway and path sections cut out for replacement
  • Service trenches through existing slabs
  • Control and expansion joints in new pours
  • Slab penetrations for services
  • Kerb and crossover cuts
  • Trimming and squaring up broken slab edges

Unfortunately we cannot help with demolition, spoil removal, GPR scanning or service locating. We will happily cut to a locator's marks.

Cut depth and access decide the price

A saw cuts to a set depth in one pass. Thicker concrete means more passes, and a cut that has to go the whole way through a slab costs more than one that scores the surface.

Tell us the slab thickness and the length of cut you need, and whether the truck can get within hose reach. That is usually enough to price it without a site visit.

Tell us about the job

Send through the location, what needs cutting or drilling, and roughly when. You will get a straight price back with no obligation.
